Garmin Chartplotters

Hey guys,

FYI, Garmin is currently running a $200 rebate when you buy a chartplotter and a G2 Vision Bluechart card. Here's a link to the rebate form:

In essence, depending on which card you might want or need, you practically get the card for free (which provides 3D viewing and other cool features like auto guidance).

I just picked up a 421 for a little over $300 and a G2 Vision Card for a little over $200. After the rebate, the card is almost free. I went back and forth between the 421 and 521, but didn't think the extra inch of screen was worth the almost $200 extra.

I'm planning to create a network between my Garmin 250c FF, 421 CP, Garmin Fuel Senor, and my Standard Horizon VHF. I'll let you know how it all pans out in the end. If any of you have any suggestions for how best to do this, I welcome your input.

Gee, thats cheap! I spent like $3k for my new 4210 w/ radar, and fish finder! Not including transducer! I bought a short adapter to change my thur-hull ducer from Standard Horizon to Garmin.

Yeah, it's cheap, but it's also very small compared to yours. I'd love to have a huge screen like yours! Must be nice to be able to view FF, GPS info, and radar all on one screen.

You have a great setup there MJ. Are any of your other devices (VHF or fuel sensor) connected to the Garmin via a network?

Thanks!!
have the VHF, but I did not do the gas censor, I don't need it, the boat holds 110 gal of gas and I never come close to using 1/2 of it in a day, and I fill to the top after each trip.
Went on a 75 mile trip once and used just 25 gal of gas:love:
