Fourth Generation Crabber

As G pointed out, little slow in the fishing section, so i thought I'd add this.

My mom would walk crabs here when she was a teenager (1938).
I walked them up when I was a Teenager(1968).
My daughter walked them up as a teenager (2002)
My granddaughter got her first Blue crab this weekend at the ripe old age of 4.

Granted , we had to steer the 2 of them together, but she handled the task with natural born talent and skill.

as u can see, she's not quite sure what to do with it

Picked up an even dozen, enough for steamed crab dinner with sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob.

Great. Love to see kids outdoors having fun. We catch em with a chicken neck tied to a string and net. Or a small trap that closes when u pull it up.
You just walk in and net em?

Phat, great picture of your granddaughter - I love them in a nice red sauce with linguine or stuffed baked - 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🇺🇸

OT, we also use wire traps to catch them, but also enjoy wading for them. We have an abundance of grass flats in our bay and my wife likes to wade ifor them while I wade fish.

Looks good G, have to try that one day.

Pipe, I am a big fan of crab cakes, but we need at least 3 dozen to get enough meat to make those.
