Airslot
God
After a long week at work, I needed a little therapy. Since the weather was so pretty I decided to spend the day on the bay....the whole day, and as much of the bay as I could check out. Started the trip off right...right at McDonalds that is ;D
Launching the boat was uneventful, and it was till way dark at 0545, not a hint of light in the eastern sky yet. Poor pic, all you can see are the nav lights...
Sun rise was B-E-A-utiful this morning on the water.
That last pic is of Kedges Strait light house, about where the fishing began. To be honest, the fishing was sub par most of the day. Caught a mess of rock from 7" to 20". Had 11 small flounder, which surprised me. Also had numerous blues and small black seabass.
Spent a lot of time fishing around Smith and Tangier Islands, slinging peelers and lures at the sod banks. Also fished in a few creeks and ran the main bay stem lookiong for breaking blues and rock.
Saw this flock of swans on the west side of Tangier...have to look close to see the swans...
And here we are, the end of the day...almost...
Tally for the day....
0545 - 2010 on the water... 14 hours or so
Fish: about 40 or so of various species
Miles covered: 105.4
on 30 gallons of fuel
But the day was priceless.
Now that I have that out of my system, its time to head south and put this tourney in the bag ;D ;D :
