FISH TRIP

It's been 5 weeks since I took the V out. Driving me crazy.

My BIL was back in town this weekend, so we did a quick trout trip. Left at the crack of noon, back by 4:30. Had a great time and cooperative fish.

Good news is, we go to the ortho doc tommorrow, hopefully he'll tell wife she can go out in the boat!

Phat, nice looking fish - As i said before they are like our Weak fish - Do not like them - Soft meat - must eat the same day - Not good in the freezer - But that's me - It looks like you had a great day with a friend - Hope your wife can get a GO - Well done as usual -

Thanks G. 100% agree with the trout/weakfish. I kept one and cooked it last night. I go with a panko crust to give the soft meat some crunch and the bland meat some flavor.

Me personally, I have eaten fish that everybody else says it no good and I loved it. We always take weakfish home. 1 per person in SC waters. The moral is don't take anybody's word for it - if it is legal and you are hungry - try it for yourself. Fresh fish is always better. It matters more for some types. The other big thing - if there is a bloodline or any "red" meat, cut that part out. I'm pretty religious about preparation.
