First of Many ?? I am sure!

With the right prop you'll be fine... Won't be a speed demon by any means but it'll get ya fishin... Later on you can swap on a bigger powerhead if ya need more speed.

You can top out around 24-28MPH depending on the prop, and crusie around 18-20 with it. Mine was an 84 with a fresh 1.6L sea-drive on it, and it sure wasn't a speed demon. I had an old beat up 15 pitch stainless on mine that did the job, and let it spin up to about 5300-5350 WOT, and cruised around 4200-4400. Just make sure the tanks FULL before you leave the dock. Mine had a drinkin problem. Plus side though, parts are EVERYWHERE for most of them, and they run forever if feed good oil and fuel.

Mid 90's carb'd Evinrude 150's had lots of power......reported 168 prop hp but who cares...

If you've got that engine it will run the boat ok, and you'll get to see more as you're boating rather than flying by everything !

Thanks guys! I will have the grandkids out and they are small so my days of flying buy everything to get off shore commercial fihing are done! Time for fun stuff!

lets see

Lets see a picture of the rig? Do I see a cape gathering soon? We can hit up Mashpee/Wakeby pond... good for kids!!!
