I read it to my wife and she asked me if I had told ya'll about that one. Mine goes something like this:

Mistake # 1. I missed one of our anniversary's and I got the same suttle hint that I better do something extra special to make it up to her or I'd be in BIG trouble.

I went and bought her a nice sweater that I knew she had been looking at. Sounds like a good way to get back in the good with her (i thought anyway).

2nd mistake: I didn't have on my glasses when I looked at a coat to get her size. I bought the sweater and wrapped it and left it in her car to surprise her on her way to work the next day.

3rd mistake: She opened it at work where her 2 sisters also work and all the girls in her office (she's a surpvr for accounts receivable at a milk plant "Pet dairy").

The sweater was 3 times too big for her, (1 of her sisters told me all the girls in the office started laughing and then realized it wasnt funny to her, they all got quiet).

4th mistake: when she came home I got the 3rd degree and while I was trying to defend myself I grabbed the coat I used for sizing and realized it was MY coat that she bought one just like each other for us. I really caught hell from her until she got so mad she wouldn't talk to me for a week.

Shoot if I known that's all it took to get a week's worth of silence out of her I'd done it sooner!!!!
