Do you guys flush your engines?.

I think my 150 Evinrude is too big to flush down the toilet!?!?











Of course I flush it after every use,
I trailer mine like MJ.

But I think even if I were using it in "fresh" water,
I would still flush it after every use.
Who knows what danger lurks in fresh water.

dont know why, probably due to different alloys but the jap engines always have seem to have more corosion problems versus the american engines. now this is in southern LA where the water is like chocolate milk all the time.

Now I can believe that. My dad used to run a 16' dual console from 1980-1999 with a 70 hp Johnson. Never flushed it, changed the plugs and coils once and NEVER had a problem. He never even changed out the water pump on it!! I couldn't believe it when he told me that, but the old man was telling the truth. I would never NOT change out the plugs and water pump at least ever other year. I only flush mine in the colder months when I only run it to run it. I guess American made was better back then.
