Hey Lumber looks good 8) I was wondering shouldnt you leave a little space between the motor and the paint or is that only with the older type bottom paints?

Lumber,  I know with the older bottom paints the copper in the paint would conduct with the aluminum in the motor. The aluminum would end up being eaten away by the reaction. I think with the new paints they are held together by newer bonding agents so I don't think you have to worry.

I will ask the owner at the marina , I used interlux micron it was nice paint good for two seasons ... so I dont have to do it next yr ;D

Was looking at my rub rail and noticed how a few of teh screws backe out from the underside of teh rope. Thought that was a bit odd. Another future job.

The barrier coat you applied will prevent the galvanic corrosion between the paint and aluminum.
