Cuddy drain hole ?

I got a question i'm sure someone has worked on.
In the cuddy of my 79 I/O v-20 there are 2 lower compartments. The foward compartment has a drain tube that drains toward the rear and drains nicely, however the other compartment (just behind the bi-fold doors) the drain HOLE does not drain. I'm wondering if this hole is plugged with debris or something.... or if it is plugged with foam from the gas tank and was never meant to drain.

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

I have enjoyed reading the posts on this web site and I have gain lots of info and thank you all for that.

MJ is right!! When I tore all the foam and tank out of mine i found out how poorly the factory drainage was and it was acumulating in the foam around the tank.

Plug it like prisoner would!!! ;D

Does that mean ya gotta get the boat to bend over first?...sounds PAINFUL TO ME!!... :o...

Reaming complete.
I'm amazed that Wellcraft mfg's would clog that passage way underneath the gas tank with foam.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM I WASHED THE BOAT YESTERDAY AND I STILL HAVE WATER THERE ABOUT 3IN DEEP ,HOW DID YOU DO IT ILL GET IN TO IT TOMARROW I WAS THINKING OF USING A SNAKE

HEY REVMAX YOU STILL FISHING? IF YOU ARE HOW YOU DOING ,I LIVE IN JERSEY BUT I HAVE A HOME OVER IN JAMESTOWN ABOUT 2 BLOCKS FROM FT GETTY

hey cappy,
yeah still fishin' (togging). i was out  saturday the 5th trying to get to brenton reef but the seas were too big so i ended up at plum light under the jimmytown bridge.
by the way i reamed my plugged drain with two different snakes on the end of a power drill. one short one to get started and then longer and longer till i got thru. i wasn't so easy. did it from the front (after enlarging the hole) and back. ouch!

i worked on my boat today i cut the pvc pipe back by the deck hatches and snaked out that way i will put a rubber hose on it there to the eng compartment , i did very well over on brenton reef this year with the sea bass, any stipers under the bridge? hay on your way out troll east side of dutch island from the old dock to the light house about 25 yards from the rocks have done very well with the stipers at times but watck the F in pots they get thick at times , red tub and blood worm my father pulled out a 42 lb there and he has maxed out more times then i can count i do ok at times he does great all the time he has been fishing there for 67 years and my uncle too they go out together all the time he keeps telling me 18 feet of water off the island but i never hit like he does he goes out with uncle and there back 2 hours latter with 4 keeper but when i take him out i never have that but have done very well, i do better than most up there but my family has lived there from around 1750s and my granddad was a fisherman and his pop too

thanks for the intel cappy. with that kind of history i can't wait to get my charts out and check it out. i really have only been fishin the bay for 2 or 3 years and still need to find the rocks. my trips used to always end up around the warren river/rumstick point.

never fished there, ill make up a list for you of most spots but i cant give all lol i have been fishing the south bay all the way to the block for some 30+ years

thanks tons. by the way my pvc pipe went thru to the most foward of 2 holes in the cuddy and not to the other. i'm wondering how you got the water to drain into that pvc pipe?
