i just picked up some replacement decals for my '83 200hp Evinrude yesterday that i had to have made and today i started removing the front and side applique nameplates.well, the fasteners for them didn't come off the best and although i PROBABLY could have re-used them i thought i check w/ Evinrude to see if i could find new ones.i was surprised that they had them in stock plus,i ordered a new front nameplate applique.the didn't have the side "EVINRUDE" plates but my daughter is an art major and she is going to re-paint them using white enamel paint.
things are starting to get close to being finished up!!!

okay, when i get it finished up i will definately post some pics.actually,i'm debating on going into business in my area in a few years when i retire.thinking about finding boats for a decent price that are mechanically sound but just need cosmetic work and brining them back into good shape then re-selling them.the Mrs. thinks i'm nuts for even considering it!

Jeff if you do it as a labor of love then that will always make you happy, no money but happy.
If you actually want to make some money do detailing and dressing up boats for other guys who own boats.
You won't make much if any buying them and selling them.

I wanna do that and have for years...but even in a good economy I just couldn't see any financial gain to it...if you can do glass and motor work yourself...MAYBE...
