Center Console flush mount fuel fill

I'm thinking about mounting the fuel fill on my center console similar to cbuzz's pic below. Can you guy think of any draw backs to mounting the fill on the center console instead of the gunnel caps.

Only downside I can think of is if it's overfilled, gas goes in the boat instead of overboard...s**t happens when we least expect it...if enough gets into the boat to get into the bilge, then you got fumes in the bottom of the boat :-/...bilge go poof... :o...me, I'd leave it on the gunnel...can't think of any mfr puts it on the console, not that they do everything right ;)...

Only down side I see is having to climb up on the boat to put gas in. I like not having to get in when I am at the gas station.

big,
alot of the early 70's v20 had the fuel filler on the top of the center console, i think they had a brain fart on that design. check out in gallery ken's v20 1971. 2nd row 1st and 2nd picture.
i filled hole, have not figured were to mount. still have a ways to go on the boat......

on my v20 the previous owner put a fuel fill on both sides.has a tee conection under the floor hatch at the tank.one vent.this seems to be very helpfull.

Just watch out that some knucklehead at the gas dock doesn't try to fill up one of your rodholders! :o
