reelapeelin said:Not the line-snap but the extra distance...according to an old Rod-Maker/Repairer here, that's largely due to line-drag on the rod's eyes as it shoots thru them...he puts over-sized eyes on rods(particularly the small one on the tip) and SWEARS you'll get MUCH LONGER DISTANCE from this modification... he grew up in FL and says this is carry-over from back in the ol' days...I've seen some of the rods he's converted...looks a little strange, but also looks very effective
