Can you see through your clear vinyl?

Just thought I would bring this back to the top.
If anyone is interested in getting their front panels repaired/replaced.
I've been busy with work since we had that 50 degree weekend in Feb.
Just completed a front curtain for a 23' Proline. This things was in bad shape. I don't think the guy will know it's the same curtain.

Thanks for the compliments guys. My dream would be to quit my job and do this full time but common sense tells me not to.
Curtains from a 27' Stratos.

Wow! You do some great work! If you ever run across a full, tall, three bow enclosure that would fit a 77 V cuddy let me know. Ive got a old top and side windows that came on the boat but its so short I bump my head on it when I stand up, and the canvas is rotten. The top snaps right down across the windshield, not much headroom and no front windows. My wifes uncle owns a top shop in Smithfield Va. and does great work. He gave me an estimate of around 2500.00 for a complete enclosure. I thought it was a good price, just haven't bit the bullet yet.

The 2500.00 is a great price for a complete enclosure. Much of the cost is in the material. I did 3 sides on the above Stratos. Those 3 sides required 2 sheets of O'sea vinyl. The vinyl alone is close to $200 a sheet.

Bringing this post back to the top. I just started working in the canvas shop for the winter season. Anyone needing clear vinyl replaced give me a shout.
Looking for work to keep me from going crazy with cabin fever.

Before new vinyl..........

I am going to have to replace the fabric on my T-top and was going to get curtains made for my "new" boat, is that something you would be interested in doing inaforty?

Not sure how the logistics of that would work with you not being able to have access to the boat.

Randleman,
I would love to replace the fabric/Sunbrella/Stamoid on your new boat but without the boat it's very tough to get a correct fit. I would really need the boat to pull the patterns.

That's what I figured, but thought I would ask.

I will find someone around Wilmington Nc to do it once I get it down that way.

Pics too big

phatdaddy,

I caught a glimpse of your pics before you removed them. You were looking for cushions for molded captains chairs, right. I've been playing with making these so if you're still looking for them if you repost I could see about doing them.

How about these? Just did these for a 31' Camano trawler.
Navy Sunbrella...

The only trouble I see is getting the snaps to line up. Kind of need to add the snaps to the cushions while the cushion is on the molded seat.

Barry, what would a set of two chairs like that go for? Same material, same color, same piping. I can bring the chairs to you. Also, I have a Todd Cooler seat, one big cushion and a backrest. Vinyl is all cracked. Interested in making new covers? PM me. :)

Destroyer,
Each set of cushions (top and bottom) is a yard of a Sunbrella, 10' of piping and a #5 zipper. So it breaks down like this....

1 yard of Sunbrella $30
10' of piping $10
#5 zipper $4
2x$25 labor $50........= $95 each set

To me it's sounds over priced but that is the cost of material and it usually takes me more then 2 hours to complete a set of cushions. I used the old foam and replace the moisture barrier.

Also I'm not sure Sunbrella would be best for a fishing boat. A high quality vinyl would probably be a better choice. The owner of the boat that I did the cushions for is a cruiser/trawler.

I'm not trying to talk you out of having me do the work but you can get a replacement set of cushions made in china for $70. However I'm not sure what material they use for the cushions.

Just trying to be honest as we are all friends here.

Ok, well, the vinyl seats are still in good condition so I guess I'll just stick with them.

But

The Todd Cooler seat is another story. and that's the seat that I intend to use for my little 16.5 Airslot. I'll take some pics in the next day or so and PM them to you for an estimate

Sounds good. Going to make a cooler cushion for that Camano trawler later next month. I will post a picture when I'm done.
