BOAT DRINKS

summer time drink of choice (after boating) is the classic Sundowner.
Made with either old original gin Plymouth, which is still made in the same wooden vats used for hundreds of years in the same town and same family.
A close second and almost indistinguishable is the original Bombay Gin.
The classic sundowner is made with a couple of rocks and a squezze of lime and either of the above. The classic drink made on safari in africa to this day.
I being a little more civilized prefer a splash of tonic.
If I am somewhere where it available a good mojito will always be my first choice.

Very well said BGA...I like that. I think there is much wisdom in those words. As with all things the older you get the more responsible you become. I know the first few times I drank it was anything but pleasing to the Lord. Ive grown much since then and I am proud to say now I do it in a much different way.

With that said...Im a whiskey man.

Crown Royal...on the rocks for me please.

If no Crown then Ill take Canadian Mist anytime.

That's blend not whiskey.
Try this if you like sweet blends and want to say you're drinkin whiskey.

LOL, whether blended or not.....I like em.

Havnt experimented too much with different types of liquer. I'm the same way with eating out and restaurants....once I find something I like I usually stick with it.

PS, I havnet noticed the 101 being much more potent that the 80 proof stuff either...its all good. :sun:

I used to like Southern Comfort with ice......but about 18 years ago I drank a whole bottle of it and chased it with some blue drinks and some green drinks and I can't bring myself to drink it again.

Was down there delivering plants and stayed overnight and ate with a lawyer friend of ours (Forrest Latta) during the start of Marti Gras.
