BGA is Looking for a Center Console

There are ALOT of boats out there right now, and it seems like twice as many more show up each day for sale. That 23 DUSKY looks SWEEEETTT!!! I LIKE IT ALOT!! I was talking to a guy about a 20 foot HYDRA-SPORTS here last week, but I guess it already sold. A 20' HYDRA-SPORTS VECTOR is one HE!!! of a boat for a 20 footer.
 
Randall fill us in on the kevlar, the Hydra Sport Vector is the kevlar reinforced hull and I can tell you from two people I know that have had them for a few years, one a 23footer that they are considered one of the best hulls on the water at any price.
 
My brother has an 1987 22' Angler W/A same hull as the center console. His boat rides excellent, and has held up well despite what some will say abour Angler.

Thanks Kamikaze! There's gotta be something wrong with that boat, right? Doesn't that seem extremely underpriced? It's a 1997! I sent a message to him just a moment ago, waiting to hear back.

If this thing checks out, I think it would be a screaming deal...

I've heard some of the guys complain about the Anglers on this board and I welcome any further thoughts folks might have...

I've never worked on them, so I don't have any first hand experiance with them, but I do know the dealers ship for them around here was passed around like a bad case of the clap. From what I heard, there are built by all the people that Tracker didn't keep when they bought out Mako, don't know this to be fact, just what I heard

I agree the price is low but don't forget the ad doesn't say anything about a trailer.

I agree, If the engine and hull checks out it's a steal. But I'll still perfer the Dusky (I like closed transoms) However, up where you are in the bay it doesn't get more then 4 feet deep and waves are but no existent - so I'm sure the Angler will be fine!:you:

I had a 78 19' ANGLER CC once, it wasn't a great boat. But the one I had had been worked over and beat over pretty good before I got it. I know down here in FLORIDA they aint regarded that highly. If you need somebody to check out a boat in TAMPA, it isn't that far for me. I'm only about 20-25 miles from there. As for the KEVLAR hulls, I've only heard 2 bad things about them. Ther whole hull isn't KEVLAR, just the KEEL, lifting strakes, and some of the other main structural points have a layer of KEVLAR in them. They tend to be lighter because of the lesser amount of glass cloth needed for strength, which in turn makes them ride over the waves a bit more. And if you get any hull damage, KEVLAR acts like a sponge and will soak up water. If the hull is cared for though, they are pretty much golden and a favorite down here in FLORIDA.

Thank you for the very kind offer. I think I will take you up on it once I hear back from the seller. That would be a great help to me. If I were to buy it, I'd definitely owe you a couple rounds of beers upon picking her up. :beer:

By the way, you wouldn't happen to know of anybody selling a decent tandem trailer at a reasonable price down there, would you?
 
BGA, I've been looking everywhee looking for a decent boat in your price range, but I keep coming up with nothing worth the price. Considering the fact that anything you buy is going to be an uncertain comodity, why not keep your V, at least you know what you have. Wait a little while till you can get in a little higher price bracket. The way the motors are costing, any late model motor is out of your price range by itself, let alone bolted on a boat. I've seen several decent deals on late 80's early 90's Grady's that have been repowered with newer engines( not real new, but newer) for around 10,000. In the 6500 range, your going to be hard pressed to find a better boat than a V

Funny, I came across the very same boat earlier today. I love the lines on the C-Hawks. I emailed the owner, she sent me a couple pics, but only of the outside. She said she'd take some more pics tomorrow. Who knows? Maybe she'll take considerably less? You never know, right?
