Another 96' V-21 in NJ

Yeah I agree. A nice trailer is a major plus for someone who trailers. Then there is electronics, guages, enclosure, wash down, etc. which all help push up the price.

I paid $6,300 w/ brand new trailer, new awlgrip on exterior, new rub rail, new kicker bracket and 9.9 evinrude kicker, all round and square hatches replaced, new yamaha guages, new yamaha controls, brand new oil injection tank, new stainless prop, new swim platform, new optima battery, and new raw water wash down.

Already had electronics and full enclosure from my previous V20. Then I put a brand new motor on it and hydraulic steering a couple years later. Also new captains chairs.

If you add everything up I have over $15k in it.

If I ever sell it it might be considered "pricey" by some (LOL) but I would never expect to see anything remotely close to $15k, that is if I ever sell it.

Do you have a 200 hp on it now, and if so three questions please:
1. Does it sit low - are the drains under or above water
2. Any other noticeble engine weight related issues
3. What WOT speed do you get

Send a PM to me if you prefer, thanks

Sure thing:

1) No 200hp, it is a 2004 150hp Yamaha carbed 2 stroke.
2) Drains above the water, does not sit low at all.
3) If 2 or 3 guys stand in the back corner or put all the weight on one side a little water will come in the deck drain on that side but not bad.
4) WOT 42 mph @ 5200 RPM

How low it sits in the stern will depend on weight, not HP. Some 200's weighed in at less than 400 pounds(375 for a MERCURY 2.4L), but others weighed in at almost 500(MERCURY 3.0L 200 big block engine).

Right. I believe the " little etec" 200hp may be the lightest around now....

Was kidding about the windshield - they're all good. Any boat that gets you there and back and doesn't cost you more than it's worth to keep running is good.

Agreed, but the side windshields ARE totally badass, as is the built in bracket on the rear for the engine to mount to....

That's probably a decent assessment given all the variables.

A truly MINT item.........if in scarse supply tends to bring a higher price than the average to very good.

Referring back to the offer that included cash and a "super model" thrown in may be a good example. Super model of course depending on the reality.......are we talking " average super model" or ........super, duper super model ?

The guy who sold his V21 for $ 12,000. That appeared to be close to honest MINT condition.

A completely water logged V with warping transom, lousy wiring, decreped trailer, engine that barely runs, and an opposum nest in the cuddy just might not fetch as much.....

Beyond mint! What a fool!
