Am I crazy?

I just counted my rods. 80. That’s not including the reels. I bet I have 50 reels. And the problem is I LOVE ALL MY RODS. Some very old. I mean OLD got to be 50 years old some of them but I have a lot of new rods and I can’t sell any of them I did sell a few like maybe 5 and I wish I didn’t. Am I crazy? You guys decide.
My wife says put the ones that you are never going to use for sale in our garage sale. I can’t do it. I would rather give it to a kid who is just getting started to fish but to have a rod selling for $15.00 then some person says. I will give you $8.00. No way. I don’t need the $8.00. I would rather give it away. Or just keep them.
So tell me. AM I CRAZY. ?

Step, as you know that's exactly what I did - I gave 5 sticks and 5 spinning outfits to my friend in North Carolina - He had the V20 when he was here He joined a club and needed spinning stuff, so I gave him what I had - Not a big spinning guy - Then I sent my remaining 20 sticks and reels to my sister in Florida - So she can give it to a couple of people she knows who have kids and own boats - I wasn't taking $10 for a St. Croix or my Acid stick - Thursday I gave to my garbage person all my sinkers - Diamond jigs - Rubber shads and a whole bunch of other stuff - I've been asking people if they were fisherman - They all said no - So when recycling came I asked the two women who were picking it up - The one said " SHE FISHES" - I told her what there was and she took it all about 70 lbs worth of stuff - Next all rest of my hooks and Grudens - All my hooks are in their own storage boxes - So when I went for Stripers - I just grabbed the plastic box that said Stripers and off I went - It was easier when I had my boat, I kept it all there

Wow Giorgio if I was near you I would hav3 taken all your tackle that you don’t want. I would have added it to my collection.
I have three sons and we all fish ,they have better or should I have said. More expensive stuff than I have.
I have a rod ,custom made from this guy who lived in Secaucus nj. Many many many years ago. I paid 13 dollars for the rod he called the rod custom Quincy special for flounder fishing in Quincy Mass. that one rod that I paid 13 dollars for and if you see it would not give me $5.00 for it. Is not for sale. I would not sell it for $500.00. It brings back to many memories. Actually if anyone offered me $1000.00 for it. I would not sell it. I know I’m crazy but some things are not for sale. And that’s one of them. I also have a rhino rod. Got to be over 30 years old. I wasgo8ngbto putitoutin a yard sale for $10.00 but I took i5 back cause that’s another one I can’t sell. I caught my first false albacore o that rod. I guess you can tell my rods have a lot of story’s.
I just hop3 5hat your tackle went to fisherman who will keep them catching. Fish.
That’s why I have 80 rods plus I must have 12 rods that I pulled out of the garbage that I have. And all those rods are extremely nice and expensive. Why did they throw them out? Who knows but I gave then new life. .
