Thanks guys for all the info! About my tank issue, I don't think I have a leak, just a tank that had old gas in it, As I investigated further, it was varnished fuel that had been sitting for awhile. It was pumped out and has ran great ever since, aside from the constant element replacement. If that tank ever does leak I am gonna install a cross-link poly tank. Oh by the way, I installed s Yamaha inst. cluster and everything works, except fot the fuel bars. Its a digital, liquid crystal gauge. Any ideas? Maybe a stuck float? In the event of a tank replacement, will I have to do any cockpit cutting?..Dirk

Well see...there ya go...another difference of opinion w/ the big guy...installed new tanks and new Teleflex fuel gauges in '99...flawless to date (now watch 'em F__K UP next time out :P)...

dirk, is it possible sender in tank not compatable w/ liquid crystal gauges??...

Dirk,

There is a screwed down hatch over my 60 G tank. The hatch is large enough to pull the tank without cutting the floor. As I mentioned, my tank is foamed in which makes pulling it a PITA. Mulv pulled the tank on his V20 and he said that cutting away the foam and getting the tank loose was a problem. Do a search on "fuel tanks" to check out other threads on this subject.

The result is the same, you run out of gas you run out!! Just you have a do hicky to say so, I just know when the motor quits ;) ;D
