Hammer...can't see the inside where the hinges attach...but can you shim the hinges up where they screw to the inside of the opening...about 3/8" looks like it'llclose up the gap pretty good ...
Post a pic w/ the door open to show how the hinges screw to the opening... ...
Shimmin' the hinges up might allow the lock to get a better "bite", too ...won't know til try ...
Yo Reel, thats the problem I have, there are no hinges. The glove box just flops around and bangs and annoys the Hell out of me. Cant believe I spent all day looking for hinges, going back and fourth. I did fing a recessed hinge 3/8 differnce, so I wouldnt have to shimm, but it just wouldnt work. Looks like I will need to mount a flush piece of teak across the bott and flush mount the hinges. I went ahead and attached a locking hatch, but now the bottom pops out. Really twisted my temps today over something so simple.
