A couple of firsts for the grandkids

Grandsons first Trout (15 1/2"), we ran all the way from the dock to the house to do the picture.

Their mother finally started letting me take them to the dock without her or their father being present. Both their parents work and we usually keep them after school. Now it has almost become an afternoon ritual after their homework is done.
It hasn't been but a couple of weeks since either one learned to throw a rod and catch their own fish. Thought I'd get out easy and buy one rod and reel, that lasted one whole day. They now have a matching set, can bait their own hook and usually unhook their fish.

Good job Tsubaki, your doing something that will stick with them for their entire lives.
Well done my Friend:clap:

Thanks a lot guys!
With these flood tides, the tide was getting it this afternoon, the sun started to get behind the trees and the fish quit biting.
He didn't care.

Awesome man!! I think I was at least 6 before I got over my fear of the daunting, fearless and ready to fight LIVE shrimp!!!!

As for the Yellowtail, something tells me that if she sticks with it that wont be the last one she sees!!!!

Hopefully the couple I just put in there might be appreciable.
Granddaughters first Whiting (11") and dressed the part!
