305 engine in a V20 any opinions, thanks 1985

My V has a 350 in it, I think the 305 should be ok but if it isn't I think the 350 is a swap out without having to change the bellhousing.

I'm sure Ferm, Spare and a couple others can give you more info.

hey garagenc is your 350 a gen 1 alloy heads and block

the first v20 I ever rode in had a 305 mercruiser at 200 hp. Nothing wrong with the 305, if you ever re-power, you can generally re-power with teh 350 for the same or less money. BTW, they all use the same accessories, so everything will bolt up between the two. Aussie, i don't think they ever used any of the alloy block or heads in small block chevy marine applications. I've seen LT1 and LS marine conversions that used alloy heads

Aussie
Mine is not a gen 1, I think Spare is right I don't think I've ever heard of a alloy application in a small block.
