21 Project Part 2 The Finish is Coming

Skools, as usual...BEAUTIFUL WORK!!... when you taped off the curves around the drains etc, didja cut 'em w/X-acto or somethin'??...

I can see why you chose that boat for redo ... nice hull ... and if manufacturers did 1/2 the detail as you, boat sales would SURGE 8) ...counter-sinkin' the access was fo' SHIZZLE!!...

That's gonna be an AWESOME Sea-Trial!! 8) 8) 8) ...

i rolled the floor with a firm foam roller,

Reel that's an old painters trick, Lining tape for making flames and other graphics on autos. It's a vinyl tape that comes in different widths like 1/16" to 1" avail in every size between in 16th's, i used a roll of 7/16 for this app. you just run it under your finger and on corners you just twist your finger to the desired shape and once it's on you tape with blue painters tape half over the vinyl. I use this tape first on all painting projects for fine straight lines.

here's a sample on this site but avail at local auto paint supply shops.

Well got home ready to work on her and the floor was still soft so i had to do all i could without stepping on the gray.

so i installed the new brass floor drains

installed the pedestal back in (it's bolted in to a 3/8 thick steel plate i installed under the floor and threaded the holes in the steel to be able to replace the pedestal easy and solid.)

sorry boys that's all i could reach so all i did hope to finish the punch list tomorrow.

Well Murphy's Law strikes

i put 7 gallon of mixed fuel in the tank and guess what the new tank LEAKS oh yeah only found out after it was strapped in and foamed in the hull. So i now have removed alot of the foam and drained the tank will remove tomorrow and find and fix all and any leaks i'm pissed at the tank builder. good side i mounted battery tray and battery plus the doors inside the whole boat. plus installd the speed-o sending unit.

yeah but i bought it 4 or 5 yrs ago for the boat and tossed it on a shelf so guess it was bad then but to late now my problem to fix now ugh.

Oh man, thats a bummer about the tank. But she's looking good though. Should be a quick fix for the Skools Monster Shop. Dont you ever sleep. ;D

yeah i only had 7 gallons in stead of like 45 or 50 wow that would have been a pain, but it's already drained back into containers

Better you found out now before you got to the coast next week!
Still sucks, but could have been worse!

But I have to admit, I just lowered my bid buy $5 ;)

well it's ok MJ i've found the hole and fixed it  ;D  it was on the corner where the crappy looking weld had a pin hole in it so it is fixed now.

sand blasted area and then opened area up and filled with JB Weld fuel tank epoxy from the truck stop, works great i've had it on my old cars fuel tank for 12 yrs or better never a leak yet, but i did take the sending unit out and epoxy inside as well. the tank may go away but the patch will last forever lol.
