1985 V20 Step-lift rebuild/refurb

Thanks Bradford! Definitely going to be extra careful to not run too shallow and keep an eye on the transom.
Should be finishing up the windshield in the next day or so and do the kiwi grip next week. Trying to have it ready for opening day scallop season in Steinhatchee, FL

raised transom

i had the transom raised on an MFG I owned many years ago and they drilled verticle holes through the 5" extention and into the existing transom, then inserted steel rods, 1/2" diameter I think, and expoxyed in place, then glassed the extention in. Never had any problems.

That's a great idea. :clap::clap:

Well guys, I'm happy to report we were able to finish getting the V ready for Steinhatchee, and had a very successful scallop trip! She performed great, and I'm really pleased w/ the 200 merc. Still have a few things to finish, mainly the cabin door and rod boxes, but everything else is good to go...

Looks like fun. Where do you guys stay down there? We went last year and stayed at Good Times Marina, but it rained all weekend.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Perry. Only a 30 minute drive from there. Pretty decent rate at 110 per night. There's also a Holliday Inn Express in Perry that is pretty nice too.

Let me know if you're heading down there George, and I'll send you the coordinates for where we got em.
