1978 v20 Center Console.

Thank you. I used gelcoat to finish the bilge and compartments. Im addicted to gelcoat now. It’s so easy. This was my first time using. Did 3 coats brushed on. Then sanded to 800 then polished the fishbox, left the other two alone.

I’m an electronics installer by trade. This is going to be a Seakeeper Ride and Garmin demo boat if anyone is on the fence on doing upgrades and wants to take a spin it’ll be on Manasquan River, NJ by July I hope.

All I can say is FRIGGIN AMAZING. I can’t wait to see the finished product. It will be a new and better 1978 Steplift. That’s the year I have. Can’t wait to see it

That's very helpful, thank you. I did some investigating on mine. Port side has fuel lines (we have the stock 60 gallon tank, and a 30 gallon tank in the bow), all the electrical and throttle cables run in the starboard side.

Started on the deck. I’m cutting the liner up to the combing. Running the deck, all the way to the side of the hull like a regulator and covering the inside of the hull with Komacell. I’m going to keep the forward seating. I used half inch coosa and put two layers of 1708 on the bottom. We’ll see what happens. I’m learning as I go along. Even if it doesn’t come out good I’m still having fun drinking IPAs and getting out of my house and learning a lot of what not to do.
