yes, I was a lurker! Lee Wangstand hipped me to you guys when I turned to him for help on restoring my boat. Here's a little background for ya. Born and raised in PG County Maryland spending every free minute on the bay and ocean. If I wasn't working or in school then I was off Sandy point or in Ocean City. Found myself moving to Georgia and miss the stripers and blues so, I bought a boat. Dropped a grand and the next day found it had a bad tittle and the tag for the trailer was stolen. Got all that straight and wanted to fix a soft spot in the floor. Did I mention I stepped right through to the hull. Any how, Started pulling up plywood and found empty stringer glass with saw dust in the bottum. Now I know most would cut and run but not me. I need a project. So, when I get off duty in the am, I'm headed home to post pics and begin restoring my boat. She's a 1967 wellcraft cuddy. Wellcraft was only able to tell me it was a Triumph v18 and send me a bad fax with a blurry pic. I've been looking for another like her to have a basis to restore her by In this I have had little luck and after talking to Lee decided to use the v20 for my basis.
This said, it's going to be a labor of love. Stringers are gone floor is rotted they relocated the full tank and took out the rod boxes. just too mention a few.
Ok, Gotta get back to work but more to follow soon.
Thanks for the warm welcomes, maybe this July while I'm up home I'll bump into a few of you guys
