175hp evinrude pics, Year of this model?

That 0G number is definately a 95 if not early 96. With the MERCS ALOT of stuff can interchange, so who knows what all has been done to it. I have a 93 parts motor and it starts with an 0D then 2 0's and then the number, the 0D numbers went on into 94. Since you said your block has a hole in it, I'm willing to bet that engine wasn't stock anymore. The 2.5L engines are pretty tough even at 200HP, but most of them XRI's got modded heavily since they were putting 220HP at the prop stock and could be pushed up to 240HP pretty easily. The injection system off that engine is worth some money to the right buyer if it is in fact a 200HP set-up.

alright thats great.

is it better to repair this Mercury200 or buy other used outboard?

will be good if i could sell the Mercury parts and then buy a used running outboard.

how much is the EFI system worth an average?
how about the Lower unit?

Depends on the condition. I sold a freshwater lower earlier this year for $475, and he was ECSTATIC to get it for that price. Saltwater lowers that are useable can bring $350. The injection system if complete with the front case half could be worth $300-$500 I would think. You can always find a drop on powerhead for about $1000-1500 and just bolt it on to your mid. If you didn't feel like parting it out, then I would think $750 would be reasoneable if it isn't all corrded for the whole engine.

its kind of funny how easily these people unscrew the lower unit out and the money they make out of this + the extra money with the propell, its like a take and go.

it should be sad going out early in the morning fishing and seeing you are missing half of the outboard
LOL theres a monopoly going out there

No title here also, there was a guy that had a 27 footer on a moreing and they stole both his lowers in the night!!
