Im gonna order a manual for my motor, any advice? I want to order a manual thats made just for my motor so it has all the details. Any links for this motor also? downloads? Thanks guys!!! shes a mid 70's 135 hp evinrude.

First thing is compression, I must have a bad gauge because one is in the 132 to 135 on all 4, and one gauge is 167 to 170 on all 4. Second thing is I need some help in knowing how to replace the pick-up screens in the lower unit.

another thing is that water has gotten in one of my cylinders thru the carb when it was in the back of my truck and the cowel was partially off or it came thru the exaust because my lower unit was off and slightly tilted in my truck allowing water to get back up the main mid section. How should I clear the moisture (emulsifacation from me spraying with w-d40) from that cylinder and also the ooze (emulsifacation) that is coming out "vacumn" hole on the block behind the top carb ( I took the carbs off for cleaning) ? should I just hook fuel to it and run it and let it clear itself out? the water is gone out of the cylinder but every revolution of the motor when being turned over with the carbs off is still spitting ooze out of that little "vacumn" hole. Thanks for your help. Let me know if I need to explain in more detail.:head:
 
spin the motor over while spraying 'storage oil' thru it, if you don't have any try diesel fuel, spin it over and over, pull the plugs and let it ooze thru the whole motor, You can pull the bleed hoses off and squirt oil thru them as well. best thing to do is get the carbs back together and fire that puppy up. let it run on a double mix of 2 cycle oil, and your good to go for storage
 
don't exactly know on yours(Ferm would know better) but a lot of it has to do with the gauge you are using, I've got four or five compression gauges, none of which read the same, I look for consistency. I've got buying gauges and selling gauges :zip:. look for the numbers that are close to teh same
