I know mine turned 5900 with a 14x21 prop at wot, and 6100 with a 14x19, top speed was within a half a mph with the 19 being slightly faster. I ran the 21 most of the time because I liked the idea of lower rpms all the time. I don't know how the gear ratios compare between our motors.

Certainly not at the same time though. I never ran WFO much, only occasionally to beat a thunderstorm or dark.

I had a Johnson (Suzuki) 140 on my V20, cruising in the mid 20's I consistently got 5 statue mpg. Top speed was 39-40 depending on load. Mine was a 2003...I would think that technology has progressed in the last 17 years where higher hp motors should be able to match that economy...

I took a nap one time as well, same experience, feet and legs hanging out. When my kids were little, all 3 would nap in the cabin at the same time on beanbags.

I never got around to putting trim tabs on my V20, but I do remember being able to trim the motor all the way down in a head sea and getting a greatly improved ride over the motor being trimmed up. I am sure trim tabs would have been even better. I had trim tabs on my Grady White Sailfish 25...
