This was my last time out this year and only caught 2,but the were both pretty nice. Trolling lake Erie and boy was it cold. One went 9.5lbs the other 8.5. Good to get out one more time. Walleye are some great eating. BC:beer:

Here's a few more pics on what I've been up to since I put her in storage for the winter. Went to replace the center pannels on the rear access doors and when I took the screws out the whole thing fell apart. As you can see what a mess. I also built a stand for the kicker. BC:beer:

I saw that one too. Looks to me like a bad setup for trolling. When we run inline boards we net the fish right behind the boat, and it looks like you'd need a real long handle net. Just my two cents. BC:beer:

I also have a Honda 9.9hp. Starts right up will slow down under 1mph and up to 5.5mph wide open. Not all that fast but it sure beats a tow. Great for trolling 1.5mph. BC

Good post Nipper, I've been wondering the same thing. Up here on lake Erie some of the best fishing is yet to come. I live real close to the lake so it stays warmer longer but we still get frost. To the members out there, can I just lower the outdrive and drain and take the plug out of the back...

I've cut the whole harness apart and can't find anything! This set up is a 1983 v20 -470 mercruiser, any help?

The resistor wire runs from the coil to the electric choke. Do I cut this out and replace? Since the distributor is not origional I'll do a voltage check today. Here is a diagram that might help someone else out. Thanks again BC

Thanks Spare, pulled the dist the tag says prestolite IBM 7026A 6J. Contacted Pertronix but won't hear from them untill tommorow or later. Can't find a part in their catalog to match that number. We'll see. Thanks. BC:bsflag:

Oh well Cut open the wiring harness,traced all the wires to figure out where to splice,no big deal. Mounted new flamethrower coil. I took the distributor apart and guess what, the new ignitor mounting plate is1/4 in too big in diameter. I used a 1146a pertronix kit which is for a 470 mercruiser...

I got the instructions but they are so vague it's hard to tell.

Got a pertronix ignitor and coil to put on a 470 mercruiser. Do they all have a ballast resistor or wire? Do I need them if I put on a flamethrower coil? Here's some pics, two black wires from negative coil, red and purple/yellow wires from positive. The purple/yellow goes around to the port...
