    Step lift restoration

Welcome MAKAK. How's your project coming along? I'm 3/4 way through my rebuild and I went all Coosa stringers, transom and floor. Lots of work but it'll be worth it. I'll post some pics of my project soon.

    Jetty Rocker Rebuild

Thanks Destroyer. Can you tell me where the link is or how to add pictures to my post? I've taken pics along the way. I'm going to put a layer of glass down before I start laying out my stringers.

    Jetty Rocker Rebuild

I've been putting off replacing my stringers in my 1975 (Jetty Rocket) for about 10 years and I finally committed. I'll try to post as many pics as I can. I'll also update my description since I swapped the Johnson 225 for a Yamaha F115. Once complete I have a Yamaha F150 that's replacing the...

    replacing fuel vent on V21

A lot of the new boats are coming with a flush mount fuel vent. It's 316 stainless and 90 degree. I'm not the best at posting pics but the Sea-Choice part number is #50-23061 and should sell for @ $25. It's probably a Perko.

    115 yamaha prop size

Here's an update to my last post. I ran the 17p Solas SS and I could only turn @5800 but I still ran 32mph. I changed to the 15p Solas ss and got my rpm's back to 6000 but I think I topped out @ 30mph. The way that I use my boat I prefer the higher rpms over the speed. I'm sticking with the...

    yamaha 115 4 stroke

I run Yamalube 4m 10w-30 and can buy it from a bulk drum. I've always heard use an oil that is made by a company that builds engines and has to warranty them. I do have a friend that uses Amsoil in everything he owns including this f-150. The four stroke oils are sesigned for the higher RPM...

    Choosing a GPS help.

I've got the Garmin 540s which has been replaced by the 541s. It's a good basic unit that has easy navigate through the pages and screens. I think they retail for @ $700-$750 with a transom mount transducer. I did just see a demo at the Grand Strand Boat Show on the Lowrance HD models with...

Who wants a windshield and good bimini?

I might be interested in the windshield as the frame on mine has some salt corrosion from the previous owner. Are you selling all the glass and frame? Mine is a 74' , aren't the windshiels the same? How much are you thinking?

    115 yamaha prop size

I repowered at the end of the last season with a F-115 Yamaha and I ran a 3 blade 17 pitch alluminum (Yamaha) prop that gave me good results. I tried a 4 blade stainless 17 pitch (Solas) but the cup or something was different and the results were terrible. I purchased a 3 blade stainless Solas...

Some times you catch a break

Hey Blue, my wife lost three pair of Costas this year. The first two are at the bottom of the Waccamaw River and the third pair she thinks she left them at school and now they have a new owner.

    Story behind your V20 handle

The first year that I owned my v-20 and it was sitting in on the trailer in my yard, I had a friend that always said the it would be the perfect "jetty fishing machine". After reviving it with a new transom, wiring and engine I proceeded installing a stereo system that was worth the value of...

    Cabin

That is sweeeeet... How much did something like that set you back? Is the bimini supports stainless or aluminum?

Im not sure its gonna be a V20 anymore!

Great job. What wood did you use for the stringers? Can you use plain plywood? marine plywood (lots of $$$)? 2x6 or 2x8?? Also what was your main purpose for the foam? was it for floatation or to sturdy the floor? I am thinking of tackling my floor and stringers on my V-20 this winter...

    Weekend trip report

Hey Blue, I put in at a public ramp just south of Murrells Inlet and I have made the trip several times and it is a nice trip. If you follow the markers you will not hit any sand bars. I would suggest that you use the ramp at the Reserve Marina which cost $5.00 to launch, they have secured...
