bennett bolt trim tabs

Hey everyone,

New here, and new to owning a boat. I have an 84 cuddy and am very interested in trim tabs after recommendations here and after doing much research.
So iwas pretty much decided on the Bennett hydraulic and as I was about to get myself the early Christmas present i noticed the new Bennett Bolt trim tabs, their spin on electric tabs. The install seems simpler and they are slightly less expensive.
anyone have any experience with these? I'm sold on the Bennett tabs after hearing of their great customer service so I'm not going to be swayed to lenco's...just figured I'd find out about the Bennett electrics.

Thanks in advance!

Well Bennett is pretty much THE option in tabs but I'm always leery of anything NEW.... I think I would call the tech line and ask what exactly is different about them.

EDIT: Ok didn't realize they were electric actuators instead of hydraulic.

Personally I say go with hydraulic.... I think you'll find that Bennett will recommend hydraulic first and these as a second choice and only for smaller (such as our V's) trailered boats.

I went with the Bennett hydraulic tabs, installed myself ( meaning anyone can ) and the've been perfect right from the start.

The tabs will GREATLY improve the V ride......... tabs down into a chop and unless the condtions are real bad, goodbye to pounding.

Use them in concert with the outboard trim to dial in a " just right ride" for nearly all conditions.

In light chop, we run the V miles on the ocean after dialing in the trim N tabs.

Back to the tabs, take your time, refer to the instructions carefully, and measure, then measure, and re measure before you drill / install. Then it's easy.

Perfect thanks everyone.
I'm going to wait for a few reviews on their new electric system before making my decision, but I'm definitely going with one of the Bennett's.
I've watched a few YouTube installs but i was wondering if anyone has pictures of where they mounted the tabs on their v. I've searched and mainly turned up, "tabs were a great addition" but not many pictures of the final project.
If anyone can share some photos it would be greatly appreciated!

Pretty much stick em in between the chines but not on a chine....

You can NEVER go wrong with Bennett . They have the absolutely BEST customer service anywhere and stand behind their products 100%.

The Bennet Premier Line looks really nice I think, just wish they'd make them smaller for a 20 foot boat.
