Back to the hospital

Going back in tomorrow. Heart is strong enough now so they can jumpstart it again and get me out of a-fib hopefully. Should be home by supper if all goes well. Scary... Gotta be there @6:30 am (Why the frack do they always do these things so early in the morning?) :head:

Good luck with it. I go in today for a kidney ultrasound to see if they can find out why I have uncontrollable high blood pressure.

Thank you all... Jumpstart was a success and I'm back to normal (well, normal as in a regular heartbeat) again.

Ferm... gotta get that BP under control...That's what caused my enlarged heart in the first place. Nothing to fool around with. Hope all went well with you bro.

The ultrasound tech wouldn't tell me anything, wouldn't even let me see the screen. So I have to wait for the report to go to my Dr. and find out what he says. I've put it off long enough, but now I have to get it under control now as I can't wait any longer(theres a reason I will disclose in another thread another day as to why). Glad yours worked out, hopefully they can get mine worked out and under control. I'm in a catch 22, heart problems run on my dads side of the family, and high blood pressure on my moms side.

It never fails to amaze me the differences between various doctors, hospitals, etc. When I went for my Ultrasound about 2 weeks ago the tech turned the screen so I could see it and explained what we were looking at as she did the various readings on my heart. And yet when I was in a different hospital after my motorcycle accident the tech was just like the one you had.... would not divulge any info, kept saying he wasn't a doctor and only a doctor could read the results kinda BS. You know, it';s always frosted my a$$ that we pay for the damn tests, yet they won't give us the results... only the doctors get to see them.... Hang in there my man... you'll be fine... just keep that BP low and take your meds. when you are supposed to.

Good to here the jumpstart worked Destroyer.Ferm I'm sure they'll figure out your BP problem. I had it for years was on three diffrent meds for it.Finally they did a sleep study on me and found I have severe sleep apnea. They put me on a c pap machine and my sleeping and BP has stayed at a normal rate with only 1 med a day. It's only been a couple of months now but are very optomistic.maybe if the kidneys are fine you could suggest a sleep study if they haven't done one yet.anyway good luck

they did one on me 13 years ago after my accident. the hospital said i was fine because my pressures were actually low while sleeping, and at rest i was fine. now its high all the time. hopefully i will hear something this week.

Glad you are fine now Destroy!! Ferm hope all works out! ZThe guy next to me at dialysis lost his kidneys to high BP, so get her done!
:pray2:

Glad you are OK Destroyerman. I saw the headline and got worried.

Since I sold my boat I haven't been checking in too often, kind of sad.

I hope everyone's doing OK, esp MJ and Ferm.

I sold the boat because of my back getting worse and it has been getting pretty bad. After some MRI's it looks to be a single disc that is causing me trouble. I am going in for surgery in a couple weeks to get it fixed. Looking forward to getting back to somewhat normal...
