Tracking Willy Continued: so I'm walkin' around in Office Depot mindin' my own bidniss and my cell vibrates in my pocket (thanks Willy...felt pretty good) and all of a sudden, got Garage and Willy live from OBX!!...Man those two must be havin' a LARGE time up there...gonna be doin' some crab-pickin' here soon Willy says!!...and just generally kickin' around up there...Garage sounds like he's about 40 mins from Oregon Inlet so he's really in the thick of things up there...Willy said he was about the same amount of time from the inlet drivin' or boatin'...I'LL TAKE THE BOAT!!...Lee's got Willy sayin' "ya'll" like a REEL southern boy now, so there is some hope for him...

Keep an eye on that carpet-bag on the way out the door :bat:

Ya'll have a big time up there guys...and keep yer hair combed...

Now any discussion on Scotch!!

If it gets any better than Johnny Walker RED, I don't want it...I've tried Black Label, Pinch and many other top-tier Scotches, but for my individual taste, it;ll be Red Label every time...still got a hint of the burned out barrel to it...PERFECT!!...

...and then there's Jamison Irish...ooooooeeeee!!....

Well guys Willie and the Misses left this morning around 6:30am to head up the coast to a family gettogether.

They are a really nice couple (for being yankees; ha ha) only kidding!

Mrs Willie is a hottie for all your guys who have never had the pleasure to meet her:love:.

We had a nice visit with them and hope they can come back (well at least mrs Willie can). Only kidding again.

I'll post some pics later but right now I just wanted let everyone know that all my belonging are safe, I took my fillet knife and cut his "CARPET BAG" to pieces so he couldn't load them up like his ancestors probably did, thanks for the idea REEL.:haha:

I'll post more info and PICS of Willie's visit later.

Also Reel; he's still not in the classification of a DAMN YANKEE yet!!!!

Now I'm going to act like a COW PATTY and hit the trail.

Well gents just had a great time traveling around with the CEO, got to see a little of North Myrtle Beach, very nice for a vacation on the beach,

But we had the good sense to leave our kids there for a vacation with our friends and head north.

Stopped in on Skools (Todd) stomping grounds, Emerald Isle area and we both liked that a lot, pretty country and a boaters paradise. On the phone with Skools while we were there and had lunch at one of his spots. Best lunch we had for a long time.

IMGP1114.jpg

Nice views of the area and snapped a shot of what sat below us while we relaxed and ate.

Took the Ferry across part of Pamlico Sound, which is really pretty country, an area that the CEO and I are going to go back to for sure to check out with more time, the New bern, Oriental area

Then we headed up to the best part of our trip, to see Lee and his great lady Sandy, folks these are very nice people. The CEO and Sandy hit it off right away, and Lee? what can I say. Any one who meets you in the driveway with two liter size Mojitos as you pull up has got his sh!t together in my book LOL.

Anyhow Lee has got him a set up there that is gorgeous. His house, that he built is impeccable, and the setting is fantastic.

Looks like a pretty sporting trip for you and the Missus...glad yall hadda big time...Emerald Isle looks like a neat place!!...

And Lee sure looks like he's got it goin' on fo sho!!...

Then there is the landing off the back of his property to the river, where there is not one but two V20's lounging waiting for the next adventure

First night took the V out with the lady's across the river bay and had a great dinner in Elizabeth City

The next day took a ride around with Lee and Sandy and got the lay of the land, pretty country. Picked us up a bushel of fresh crabs and had us a feast at Lee's house with his neighbors coming to join in. Dam those crabs were good.

Lee's good friend and neighbor two doors down has himself one of the most mint V20's I have seen. Actually its a V21 with 200 hours on it since he bought it new. Very, very sweet. His name is Tom and he and his wife are fine people we had a blast with. took a tour of his set up and like Lee's it is sweet.

glad you enjoyed Fins they do have good food. Beaufort is a pretty town, did you by chance ride by Black Beards House while there? it's just right up the street from Fins. Wish i had been down while you were passing thru.

So we finally left on Saturday, had to attend a birthday party on the beach in Lavalette NJ.

It was a great trip, met some very fine folks, hooked up Ozzie to Lee via phone while down there and we are going to do a striper get together this fall hopefully.

And to Dave (Spareparts) and Ozzie I have this message, yes I do know the difference between a Yankee and a Dam Yankee.

I also know what fine people are when I meet them and I just had the pleasure of the company some very fine people.

Thanks Lee and Sandy for your great southern hospitality. And you know where your next trip is, right.

Yep Sandy and I will make a trip up north to see ya'll, you have us thinking when Sandy's job ends that may the time to take a trip.

I'm glad ya'll had a great time and youre welcome back anytime.

Ozzie: I'm serious about hooking up this winter and catching the ocean stripers. Willy says he's game.

Maybe some of you others would like to hook up and go, we could probably get some of the VA boys to go.

We go on about you Yanks...but the truth is, some of the finest folks I've ever encountered were from up there...I had a boss once who was a former NYC Policeman prior to finding his way to SC...what a gentleman...EVERYBODY loved "The Bear" and he would do anything for you...as fair-minded an individual as I've ever met...

Any barrel of apples has it's gooduns and baduns...we got some pretty big homegrown @$$holes down here too...

well lets just see if we can hook up that fishing trip Oz, I have a stash in Lee's freezer now.:beer:

Sounds pretty good to me...been tryin' to tail-gate onto one of BR's many trips for years...wanna see if he can throw in w/us for somethin' like that??...Hey BR!!...

BR and Garage...what do ya'll generally use for lures/bait on those OBX stripers?...anybody usin' live bait??...

Oz, if they are thick the thing to do is get over the schools and cast/jig for the fish with bucktail jigs w/trailers. Also mojos on the bottom work well. If the fish are spread out we put out the stretch 30 plugs (spread of 5) and go huntin. No live baiting for us, but I suppose if you could catch some pogies live bait would work. What a lot of people are doing is the umbrella rigs with the soft shad bodies in chartreuse with a mojo supply the weight at the bottom. That and tandem rigs will catch 2 or more striped ones at one time! "Meat fishing" LOL
We'll be going to VA Beach....LETS HOOK UP!!
