I needed to replace the tilt switch in my Yamaha 703 remote control. from what little I could find about it I hade to take the entire controller apart to get to the switch. Long story short I pulled the control apart replaced the switch, put every thing back together, stepped back and admired my skills and took her out for a test ride. Everything seemed fine until I went to speed up. I pushed the throttle all the way down only to get to about 3000 rpm nothing more. Seems like something's not catching the linkage correctly. I took it apart/ put back together a dozen more times over the two hours trying to line up the "gears" in different configurations to no avail.
Anyone ever have a similar problem? The engine speeds up fine with the neutral throttle lever so I know its not the engine.
Thanks in advance
