the guy I fished with had intls and Tiagras. ALl were 50 wides. Where we fished we were targeting black fin, wahoo and dolphin. We never had any problems with a dolphin, the wahoos were all depending on the size, they could peel of some line, we never caught a black fin while I was along, so i don't know if they were needed on tuna. My buddy said he used to have 30's but got tired of the tuna handing him his hat. The shimanos were nicer reels, but they were a lot bigger than the penns, we were in a small boat, so they got in the way from time to time. Personally, from what I hear( I can't afford any of those expensive set ups for my self), if i needed the line capacity, i would go with the TLD50s for the money. I don't know anyone around here that uses Okumas for serious offshore, plenty of people around here use them for kings though. Go to Charlestonfishing.com you can search on there about the Okumas, lots of information from people that have a lot more experiance than i do.
