Boat's about a 2 hr. drive, so I'm contemplating a bid without seeing it in person to give it some love taps w/ the rubber mallet. Like the ad says, the trailer is worth close to the starting bid price, but in a way that makes me even more hesitant: Like the owner may be admitting the boat and motor aren't worth much, but here's this snazzy, newer trailer. I emailed the seller to see if he'd give up any more info.
While I gotcha', what year did Wellcraft start going with a closed cap at the transom and/or a self bailing deck? From the two I've seen in person, I know it's somewhere between '77 and '83.
Also, what are the fuel tank configurations for all the vintages? The '77 I looked at had (2) 20 gal. tanks on each side. The '83 presumably had a single tank of unknown capacity.
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
