V-20 Charter Boat, EH?

Not to shabby ;D

Captian MJ's Charters... Sounds good to me ;D What do we get for discounts ;D ;D

I have taken people out for cash before, but have no Lic to do it.

I like to get the Captains Lic so I can do some charters, I think I would like it?

As far as you guys are concerned, anytime you want to go is fine with me, just have to charge extra cause you guys are way out there ;)

All except Willy I owe him a ride!!

I used to charter my V20 at indian river Del. Did rockfish trips in the inlet mostly at night. Also did a bit of flatfish chartering in the back bay. If your thinking about it GET A LICENSE. The coast guard has been known to come down real hard on non licensed operators. Even worse your insurance is void if you have a an accident. When things go south even good friends can bite you in the butt. To be a bit technical the CG and insurance companies consider that if you take anything of value for a trip even a ham sandwich its chartering. I know lots of crews share expenses on a fishing trip but technically your violating the rules. An OUPV license is not that difficult if your willing to put a bit of effort into it

One thing to keep in mind about doing charters is to check your rules regarding your catch. I know here in FLORIDA if you have a captains license, and are doing a charter. You are not allowed to keep any of your catch for yourself or your mates. Only your charter is allowed to keep anything, and only there bag limit will apply. The captain and mates used to be able to keep there catch, and have a bag limit, but not no more(as of this year). Florida is trying hard to slowly make our state a catch and release only fishery.
