Youth trout day is tomorrow in pa. Should give the kids a week! Not a day. 1st youth day in years thst is good weather.
Taking my boy out. Fishing in creeks and maybe kayaks on a small lake.
 
He had a good time. caught his limit, only 2. Our trout season is stupid. Kids get 1 day and parent needs a license and trout stamp that day and that day only to take a kid fishing. Any other day parent doesnt need a license. regular trout season starts the next saturday at 8:00. THere are people camping all over friday night or sooner. THere is a small lake that people put lawn chairs around and sleep in them to save their spot. The stocking schedule is online for the year, where and when stocked. So it doesnt take long to get fished out.
If they want kids to get into fishing give them a week! not one day, could be cold and rain. We got lucky this year, sunny and 75. Saw a bunch of kids out fishing but not enough. Take a kid out fishing.
