Trim tabs……

So the boat has Bennett trim tabs, BUT…… I don’t think they’re adjustable. I believe they’re spring loaded. They’re trimmed down and I can pull it up. I guess they’ll self adjust while under way. I’ve never had a boat with tabs so I don’t know anything about these. I guess we’ll see what happens.
 
They are called "automatic" or self-adjusting trim tabs. I had similar on my 25' John Almand boat several years ago. The faster you go the higher they rise up, but they help keep the bow down in all cases. I'd keep them. :head:
 
Ok, it seems they’re “smart tabs”. There’s an adjustment. There’s a hole in the cylinder that takes a pin. If you push them up and insert the pin, it holds them in what seems to be a neutral position. I guess I’ll see how it goes. I figure with that little 115, they should help me get on plane faster.
