If I had to sum up why Obama won re-election I could do it in one word. Sure, there were lots of reasons, but really only one reason above all others.

Media

They crucified Romney and gave Obama a pass on everything that might have cast a shadow on his chances. They never vetted him or his past associations. When he's told outright lies they don't report it.
I could go on and on, but it's moot so why bother.


But I'll say this.. If I were a dictator with absolute power I would have the heads of all the major "news" channels lined up against a wall and shot for treason, because that is exactly what they have done.

The job of the news media is to REPORT the news, good, bad, or indifferent.. NOT make up stories and spins giving one guy a pass and villifying someone else. Yet that is exactly what they have been doing for a long time now and their power to shape the course of an election is undeniable. They, more than any other reason, are the reason that Obama got re-elected.
 
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

I am in agreement with you--the media controlled this vote--and next the people will partake in some Kool-Aid.:bsflag:

FOX included?

Ha ha...y'all hop up and down about he Liberal Media...then FOX comes up and they're the Conservative Media...

Back up and take a look at those statements...it's what I been sayin' all along...doesn't matter left or right...they're ALL in bed w/some corporation or the other...these just happen to have CAMERAS and people who speak into them to tell us what THEY want us to hear...it's another big money arrangement..and WE''RE not invited to the party...we're just citizens...the elctorate...or as W used to so gut-wrenchingly call us like he wanted to spit...the people...

Pharmacueticals, petroleum, agriculture, insurance, automobiles, unions...and yes broadcasters!!...man where's the news??...it's just the Dems figured it out first to have ownership of the airwaves...is that THEIR FAULT?...but as soon as the conservatives finally figured it out, up pops FOX...and that's the way the money flows...v1

Yes, Fox included. Not that I find their content particulary offensive, but if they spin the news then "bang". Same result. Report it is fine. Spin is not.
The only problem with Fox is they are one channel up against several others. I'd like to see a more even playing field.

Very well put......I wish we could learn to vote as a country and not an individual.......How many people on here would vote for a candidate that would lower taxes for wellcraft owners but raise the taxes for everyone else.....more than just a couple I believe
