Tcw-3 oil

I m running some Merc Premium in my 2 stroke lawn equipment that s at least 8 years old, no issues. I do premix, no injection system. I ran 30 wt Quaker state in my first OB, small coke bottle in a 6 gallon metal gas can.

Quick google search says 5-8 years

I would be hesitant to use in an Optimax or modern Evinrude, but not in anything carbed and premixed

Phat,straight 30 wt oil? Isn't that a no no?
My engine I add it in the gas and just bought like 20 gallons. Pennzoil marine and Quick Silver Tcw-3. On clearance. It was so cheap I had to buy all of them from 3 differant locations.
Do you live in nj?

Step, remember that the 36 mos is the "recommended" time, not the actual usable time. As far as I know, it's oil and should be good for lots of years. Hell, it's been in the ground for a million or so. I still have 2 gals of Quicksilver that is at least 6 years old and I run it in my 1993 200 Merc carbed with zero problems.
