Suggestions on sunglasses

I need to get a new pair of sunglasses. I don't mind spending money if I have to for sunglasses that work well. I just don't want to spend to much for a name that doesn't get the job done. Any suggestions?:sun:

Costa del Mar's, once you wear a pair of their 580 glass lens you won't wear anything else. You can find them on ebay for $150-180. I have bought 2 pairs from Ebay and they are legit, not fakes.

Thanks I'll check 'em out.

I am constantly losing/breaking sunglasses, so I usually have to go with a pair I pick up at the gas station on the way out to the lake!

Agreed! I cant leave home with my Costas! The blue or green glass is virtually unscratchable. The 580's are the same way. Triple Tails are great for a big headed guy too. Costas actually ENHANCE your vision..its like putting on eyeglasses.

I would head down to a west marine or Bass Pro and give the costa's a look and see what frames you like, but definitley buy them on ebay. Big time savings. Also take a look at this page...

On the right and bottom it has the lens color options and goes into what they are best for. I have the green mirrors, which were great for the back country in FL but I think I might do better with something else up here.

Costa is the way to go, lifetime warranty, built in leash so you don't lose the Oz, I have 2 pair, a blue lens and a grey lens with a built in magnifer lens at the bottom so I dont have to switch to glasses to tie a knot. Wave Killer is the model!

the one thing i would have to say about costa is dont rely of the lifetime warranty. i have sent my pair in twice and have had to pay for more than shipping charges. Both times i felt as if it should have been warranty related. Other than that the glasses are great.

All my buddies have the costas. I hear the warranty sux, but that's just hearsay. I have a pair of Maui Jims I bought from my buddy. I like em alot....just don't really have nuttin to compare em to.

warranty with costa is probably hit or miss rather than crap all together.

got me the Maui Jims as well.... the "typhoon" model w/a grey lens. They are comfortable, and durable......and what's most amazing is that I've had the same pair for about ten years and they're as good as the day I bought 'em. They were around $159.00.

i was a big ocean waves fan for about 15 years, great glasses and awesome warranty. then a new buyer about 5 years ago and downhill eversince. got on the costa band wagon bout 6 months ago and really like them. i work outside in florida and wear them everday. i ran over them with a bush hog and demolished them. sent them back and got a new pair for half price. just make sure you try on a pair before you buy them.....
