Storm and a V20

My V20 is on blocks in the yard and we have a storm that could head this way. I dont even know the name of the storm or what its doing. Should i take the 18 Fisherman off the V20s trailer and load the V20 back on it? I figured i can just flip the 18 over for now. Or am I overthinking this? The V is stripped right now so she is a little light. Also have to make some screens to keep the scuppers from clogging.

Isaac should be dumping a pile of rain soon. I'd be more worried about it filling with water while on blocks and falling over.
It'd be better to sit it on the ground instead of going through the effort putting it on a trailer. Is that going to be too much trouble?

Its on a hill now. The transom is one cinder block high and the bow is two feet off the ground so it will drain. I cannot turn it around due to a fence. Really do not eant to set it on the ground then the bow will fill up with a foot of water before it gets high enough to drain out the back. Then once its on the ground its a fun task to lift it to get blocks under it again. Thinking my best option is to get her back on the trailer and just put the 18 on the ground.

If you have enough stuff to add more blocking, I'd just do that.
Don't guess you have any blocks of styrofoam laying around? They'd do a real good job.

I decided to load the V20 back onto its trailer for now. The 18 Fisherman is on the ground now, and I am about to flip it over onto the gunnels, its a mosquito harbor. STINK!!!!!! I need you and your buddies! :haha:

About to start loading the V20 here in a few minutes. I really decided to load it back up so i can move it to the other side of the yard away from trees. Right now its under an oak tree, that I am not too sure of.

I think I can use my electric winch to flip the 18 almost vertical, then borrow my neighbors redneck cherry picker to lower it down on the gunnels. Nobody has been interested in buying it, maybe now that its off the trailer and on the gunnels somebody will buy it. :zip: Usually thats how my luck works.

Now the storm will miss you by a hundred miles.. Your fully prepared. Looks like a rainfall event for central FL. My keys friends are scrambling right now. Hope all fair well.

Got the V20 on the other side of the yard, about to try flipping the 18.

Ridge I would rather be safe than sorry, not knowing what this storm is doing and where it wants to go. Just looked at the forecast and it looks like they have it pinned on Mississippi. That puts Alabama and Florida on the East side of it.... great.

On a side note. A V20 seems fairly light without a motor. I was winching it on the trailer, had the transom on blocks. Had the truck idling in reverse trying not to drag it off the transom blocks, then noticed the transom floating an inch above the blocks. This with about half the boat on the trailer.

Flipping the 18 is a no go. The way the dumbass previous owner cut the cap its acting like three separate structures rather than one. No matter which way i pull or lift it just twists. So she is sitting on the ground now. Anybody want an 18 Fisherman?
