Steelers...Pats

the fish are butchered ;D
So are the Steelers. ;D
Actually, they played quite well except for a few cheap shots. A lot of BS on the field. The Pats made some adjustments at halftime and that was all she wrote. 13-0 8)
Nobody likes a winner 'cept us NE fans. ::) ;D

CHUM, I set this up just for you ;D You guys have a great team this year...hope we get to play one more time ;)

Not as good a chance as my Colts. They'll be seeing you folks up in Foxboro in January. Did you see what they did to Baltimore yesterday? And yes, after being up by 37 points, they have the decency to put in the second and third stringers. Remember, the Colts may have lost 2 games, but just barely.

I have a question; If you're the team down by 20+ points and the dominant team throws in their 2nd and 3rd stringers, do you leave your 1st team in and still loose? Where's the dignity in winning with 2nd and 3rd stringers as well as loosing with your 1st to the same?
If your the winning team, the only thing you can do with that situation is keep your #1 team healthy. Play every game like the season is dependant on that one game. Give every game 100%.

Keeping the team healthy is the number 1 priority. That is why if you are way ahead, you put in the 2d and 3d stringers. Do you really want one or more of your first team guys going down in a game you will win and be unable to play in the next game when you need him. Play every game to win, and once the win is cinched, make sure you live to play another day.

Exactly. However, I think you were implying something different here.

"And yes, after being up by 37 points, they have the decency to put in the second and third stringers."

So, back to my question................ :)

I re-read your post, and we are on the same track. What I was doing, however, was taking a veiled swipe at the Patriots only because they are so darned good! There has been a lot of talk that the Patriots are trying to run up the score, and I was talking up the Colts saying they don't do that. Quite frankly, I think the Patriots are clearly the best team in football and, at the end of the season, may stand out as one of the best teams, if not the best team, of all time.

So, no offense intended, just a wisecrack, and I hope no offense was taken.

A ha! A thinly veiled attempt at that. ;D
I suspected we were on the same page here. 8) I don't take offense to much of anything these days. The Pats certainly have found a way to win one way or another.
We have a handful of good teams this year. Should be an excellent post season. ;) ;D 8)
