Something I think is brilliant, enjoy

Yes, right on!

whatever he said.

Seriously he makes great points and I agree to what he says, but geez, why does he have to write so disconcertingly. I should think his last sentence should be succinct/too the point rather than having me say to myself; "WTF is he saying?"

here was his last line:

'But because a comeuppance is due the arrogant elites whose undisguised contempt for the great unwashed prevents them from conceding a modicum of serious thought to those who dare oppose them. '

Perhaps I am just "not that bright" to read and understand that in the first few passes. Hat's off to those of you who can.

Willy, that is such a great article that Mark Bellings, who was sitting in for Rush Limbaugh yesterday, actually read it aloud over the radio. I totally agree with you, it's brilliant. More to the point is it's factual. The elites, with their lookng down their noses at us snobbery, are due to have those noses cut off and fed to them.

RKC, all he said in that last line was that the elites, who have nothing but contempt for us (the little poeple) are due to have that smug smile slapped off their faces come November, and that they will never be able to understand where or why they got slapped, because they don't think us smart enough.

I enjoyed the way he wrote it, when a Pulitzer Prize winner writes you sometimes have to slow down, at least I do sometimes. The command of the English language is something I have always admired and with all the reading I do I have noticed some use it to flower a point ad nauseum, some use it to cement it. This is one of the latter.

I'm just on a different page. I did understand what he was saying, just had to read it again, very slowly (and look up a word:head:). I have a history of coworkers that "try to master" the English language and come off sounding like pompous idiots. I work in a technical\engineering environment and it irritates me when these people write technical papers and try to show off their "master of the English language" by adding superfluous text rather than trying to make the document understandable. Sometimes more is less.

Obviously the author is well respected, and not superfluous, I just don't "get into it".

Sorry for sounding like I was discrediting your post. Didn't mean to.

Here, have a beer on me.

RKC understood. Seems like you and I share a mutual understanding of where we are at in this country so when we meet I will buy the first round

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

A god should not be buying a mere mortal the first beer.

The beer WILL be on me!
