I ve heard of places where water freezes in the air, though that was stories told by elders around the fire to keep the young ones in line.

Got to admire anyone who lives in that

Keep warm

Here in Staten Island, the 1st time I measured, was 12 inches, then shoveled, the 2nd time was 8 inches, then shoveled again, finally, and hoping the last 2inches. I didn't measure, that's what it looked like it, but since it had almost stopped maybe it was wind blown snow. I think we got at least between 18-20 inches here. Right now a few flurries are coming down. ENJOY!!!!

24" measured inches in Montville, NJ. Stopped for a little while this morning but snowing again. Forecast is for another 1-3 before it finally ends. Thank God for snowblowers. We (wife and I) have been doing the driveway about every 5-6 inches, keeping ahead of really high amounts. My driveway is 145 feet long, so it's prudent to take several small bites rather than one large bite at the end.

LOL Cold Phat... real cold. I'll remember that when you are suffering in 100+ temp with 90% humidity. :you:

South shore of western Long Island. Almost 2 feet. I’m in my house almost 23 years. Every winter I say I’m buying a snow blower. I have 3 to 5 years left in the house. I don’t know if it makes sense at this point. I sure am getting tired of this snow sh!t!!!

Fair deal,D. Everywhere has its trade offs. I went and had the oil changed in my wife s car today, the mechanics lift is outside in his parking lot, hurricane blew the building away. Been like that over 2 years. We were saying he would love to have an hour or two of this 50 degree weather in August.

Ya ll stay safe and warm

Update, got over 30 inches , never loved a snowblower the way that I do now. Had to break down the snow than blow than break down the snow and blow I could repeat that but you know where I'm going . Hey destroyer, montville is not to far from me, where do you launch your boat?

My daughter lives in Mt. Arlington, so I know right where you are. I launch in 3 different places. Mostly in Laurel Park in Secaucus. Then I run down the Hackensack river to the New York bight, then from there to the Hudson river and from there to Sandy hook. It's a 21 mile run, but the launch ramp is really nice with good parking and it's free. So I use a little more gas but I pay no launch fees, and no tolls on the GSP. Plus while everyone else is sitting in traffic on the GSP on a Sunday I'm cruising upriver @ 40mph most of the way. I save time, temper and less distance to travel.

I know laurel hill in secaucus, they built a new school there , how far to get to raritan bay from the There? We used to catch strippers in the winter by the power plant when it was turned on

Stripers still spawn by the plant, just not as many. It's 21 miles by boat from the ramp to Sandy Hook bay if you go under the Narrows bridge. 43 miles if you go by car to Highlands marina.

Got ya plus there is good fishing by Swinburne island right past the bridge,I just never went that far leaving from secaucus, I know there is also good fishing by the verazzanno bridge too. Do you trailer your boat from montville ?Im a creature of comfort I guess I don't like trying new things if Im not formiliar with the area, I never went past the power plant but that sounds very tempting, cause from sandy hook ramp to the verazzanno bridge I bet it's got to be at least 7 miles.plus it's closer to me and with the price of gas going up I think I will be using that ramp too. I have a 2018 tundra so be careful when you park next to me lol

Destroyer, Do you have any issues with low bridges? I was told by my son that there are 2 bridges that are very low at high tide, and your running a Steplift I would bet. P.s I will be careful when I see your Durango too lol

I hear that the Knapp Street Deli in Sheepshead Bay is open. It was tough for a while but since it's only take out, I guess that pulled them through. That's what I will be making today, my toasted everything bagel, butter and soft bacon. It seems that when you make it yourself at home, it never tastes as good as when you get it out.
BE SAFE
