Hey Skools, you still have that Merc? If so is is a 25" shaft? I need to either get an extension for mine or repower after bringing up the transom. I have been thinking of a 2.0 since I have a bunch of Merc dealers near me. I don't know much about them or any outboards for that matter but I have read on hear that they are an ok motor.

it's a 20" shaft if it were me i'd find a 25" midsection with no power head and put this power head on and go fishing.

ok guys will the late 80's like 88 to 90 Mercury 200 Black Max midsection work with this power head? i found a 25" midsection from one with good tilt trim and lower unit priced right. that would give you a 25" with good lower unit and midsection in 25"
