Routing the speedometer tube

Guys,

Is your speedo tube routed over the transom or through the transom? I installed my new teleflex gauges santa brought me. All that's left is the speedo pitot.

It goes through the hull on my 1991 Cuddy cabin with I/O.

Mine is hooked to the outboard.

I cut mine loose and threw the gauge away.
