Redfish

Went trolling for a king mackerel, no luck

came back in the bay to swim and cool off, caught a few pinfish and threw one out just for something to do

managed to bring this guy home for supper

Florida slot limit is 18 to 27 inches, he was 24, so just right

decided to try some gyotaku (sp?) or Japanese fish prints. these are very crude and my first attempt with rice paper. I've done trout and grouper before

wife likes them, so good way to get her to go fishing

G, they fight pretty good, i was wade fishing in 3 ft of water using 20 lb braid on a light spinning rod. No real long runs, but a very strong fish

Taste is ok, sad this is the younger they are, the better they taste, they can get up to 40 to 50 lbs, but are pretty much inedible

As far as art, I don t think so, just goofing around. Kinda like poor mans taxidermy

Phat, they sound like a blue fish, not the fighting part, because Blue fish don't want to die, the eating part. The younger or smaller they are the better the are to eat.
For your art work, "just goofing " around, not bad, not bad.

Enjoy this weekend, looks like a good one
