Hey guys, haven't posted in a while but visit at least once a week.
After about a year of doing research (and convincing the wife), I pulled the trigger and purchased a 2007 175 etec. Here is a picture of the old 1995 200 Evinrude:
And here is the new beauty:
I took her for a test ride on Saturday. Here is he launch:
And here she is on the trailer...
First of all, it was very strange not having to choke the engine. Starts on the first turn and is really, really quiet. Shoots out of the hole faster than my 200 did and is definitely faster on the top end.
I purchased the engine from Port Monmouth Marine ("PJ") and would definietly recommend the place. Geat customer service and I got excellent value for my trade-in.
